As a former competitive hockey player and minor hockey coach, Nasyr Asmi knows the importance of leadership, skill and teamwork to achieving desired results. Nasyr understands the significance of an individual’s job to their overall sense of purpose and he is dedicated to working fiercely on behalf of his clients to achieve meaningful results to their workplace issues. In this regard, he represents clients on a wide range of employment issues, including wrongful and constructive dismissal claims, human rights issues, health and safety matters, workplace harassment complaints, and drafting and reviewing employment agreements.
Nasyr obtained his law degree from the University of Western Ontario in 2016 after having obtained a Bachelor of Management and Organizational Studies, specializing in Finance, from the University of Western Ontario in 2013. While at Western, Nasyr was a member of Dean’s Honour list, which is reserved for academic excellence.
Prior to joining Whitten & Lublin as an employment and labour lawyer, Nasyr was a labour lawyer for a prominent union and subsequently worked for a boutique employment law firm in Toronto.
Outside of work, Nasyr still enjoys watching and playing a variety of sports, which now extends to do his best on the golf course. He also enjoys travelling, spending time with family and friends, and searching for the single best burger in Toronto.
