Sohrab Naderi, an associate at Whitten & Lublin, never misses an angle when evaluating a case. After summering with us in 2022, Sohrab has returned and hit the ground running, bringing his hard work and lateral thinking to every file he is brought onto.

Sohrab is drawn to employment law because he gets the chance to offer a helping hand to folks in all walks of life. With his cordial attitude, knack for legal research, and eye for detail in drafting documents, Sohrab’s presence is an advantage for any legal team.

Sohrab is a member of various professional organizations, such as the Canadian Muslim Lawyer Association, the Federation of Asian-Canadian Lawyers, and the South Asian Bar Association. Sohrab served as a Student Caseworker at the Queen’s Elder Law Clinic, which drafted wills and powers of attorney for Queen’s students and seniors in financial need.

While at Queen’s Law, he served as Co-President of the Queen’s Asian Law Students’ Association. He played a vital role in creating a space for Asian-identifying law students to make connections, both with each other and with people working in the legal industry. One of the best examples of this was through continuing the yearly tradition of co-hosting, with the South Asian Law Students Association, a panel of Asian-identifying legal professionals in various fields of work to help Queen’s law students learn and network.

In his free time, Sohrab enjoys biking, bouldering, and constructing model kits.

Sohrab has demonstrated his passion for employment law both at Whitten & Lublin and beyond.

  • Recently, Sohrab served as a Research Assistant to the Principal Revising Author of Employment Law in Canada, one of the seminal texts in the field.
  • He won the Queen’s Labour and Employment Moot in his first year of law school.
  • Sohrab was named to the Dean’s List in his first and third years of law school.
  • He received the Law 1966 Scholarship in Contract Law for his academic performance in Contract Law.
